ABOUT ME
If elected to serve, Steve is committed to leveraging his professional Bay St experience, as a financial executive, to bring better decision making discipline to town hall.
Steve has resided in the Golden Horseshoe for 55 years since immigrating to Canada as a kindergartener just before Canada's centennial anniversary.
Steve settled in this area following his retirement from full time employment in 2018. He holds an MBA degree from McMaster University and is a retired member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.
Within NOTL Steve is a community organizer and the founder of the local community group Residents 4 A Better NOTL. He has been an active member of the NOTL Residents Association. As a local opinion leader Steve has advocated for good local governance to put the interests of the many above the interests of the influential wealthy powerful few that are conspiring to destroy the unique character of our town.
Steve identifies as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and strongly believes in the importance of including women and diverse minority communities in the public policy setting process. Together with his spouse, Gary, of 21 years, he continues to co-parent two grown children and is a proud grand-dad to two school aged grandchildren.
If you see him out walking in NOTL an 8 year old yellow lab named Lucy will likely be trotting beside him.
